สมาคมกีฬาลอนเทนนิสแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ขอยืนยันว่า ข่าวในภาพดังกล่าวเป็นข่าวปลอม (Fake News) โดย คุณสุชัย พรชัยศักดิ์อุดม นายกสมาคมกีฬาลอนเทนนิสแห่งประเทศไทยฯ ไม่เคยกล่าวเช่นนั้น

คุณสุชัย ตระหนักดีในคุณค่าของการได้เหรียญรางวัลทุกเหรียญในกีฬาซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 33 และยินดีด้วยกับนักกีฬาทุกท่านอย่างแท้จริง และมีความรู้สึกผิดหวังมากกับเพจ facebook ที่ลงข่าวปลอม ที่ขาดความรับผิดชอบ เพียงแค่หวังประโยชน์จากยอดวิวเท่านั้น

He is deeply disappointed by the Facebook page that published this false information in an irresponsible manner, solely seeking personal benefit by increasing its page views.
